Tap groups of 2 or more same adjacent numbers horizontally and vertically, then they will be merged into the next higher number of the series [2, 4, 8, 16, 32, ..., 1024, 2048, ...]. The numbers are the repeated multiplication of number 2. The more same numbers in the group, the bigger the score you can get.
